Yesterday I was so thrilled to find my very own Ginkgo Tree. I spotted it in the cool covered growing areas at Park Hall Nursery http://www.parkhallgardencentre.co.uk/ near Somersham and I had to take it home. I hope it's as hardy as it's purported to be as it is the most I've ever spent on a single plant and to offer it a long slow death as I do most plants seems rude. It's now sitting in a pot outside my studio window looking just weird but lovely. It's a grafted specimen with slow growing crown of very dense leaves which have multiple splits in them on a rather slender truck which I hope can bear the rather brutal wind here. Soon it will have to go in the ground but for now it's looking spectacular.
I think I'm not done with Ginkgo.
